Tips for Safe and Confident Driving
- Drive 1-5 mph under the speed limit. This leads to better space management and allows more time and space to avoid collisions and other hazards.
- Approach all intersections with caution. When approaching an intersection with adequate momentum, try taking your foot off the gas and covering the brake (approx. 8 seconds before). Remember "green only mean go if the intersection is clear."
- Always drive with a fully engaged brain. Never multi-task in the car.
- Have great space management or position. Try to always drive "single file" rather than side-by-side.
- Master the "art of momentum." Try to cover your brake around corners and when catching green lights on the move.

Wichita Driving School is the only school in the state of KS to belong to the Better Business Bureau and the National Safety Council.
Call us now and join one of our schools today. By successfully passing our 14-hour Driver's Ed course, one can usually receive a KS License at the DMV, with no additional testing (besides the eye test). Note: The DMV reserves the right to test or deny any license applicant.
